Both the effort and the coaching today against Clemson left a lot to be desired!
In fact the basketball program has been a middling mediocre disappointment since the middle of last season!
it has had days like today of disappointing effort by the players and like today disappointing game plans, execution of fundamentals and in game adjustments!
After 3 years of this regime we still cannot defend the lane against dribble drive penetration with a veteran team and we are not a balance offense often susceptible to having our offense game planned away with few if any working adjustments.
We should have seen this coming based on how mediocre this team played against lower level teams like App State coming which we were extremely lucky to win.
This team’s has consistently played below its talent level all season.
I like Kevin Keats personally and I pull hard for both he and the Pack but the evidence is growing that he is a bottom quartile coach in the ACC.
I’m pulling for him but unless he begins to take better control of this program I am afraid in another year or two we may have to look for more competitive options!
