I've been watching Lavar Batts Jr. of Concord (N.C.) Robinson High since right before the start of his freshman year. He was impressive at the 2016 Holiday Invitational this past December at Raleigh Broughton High in a 86-75 win over Concord Cannon School in the first meeting between the two teams. I had him for 37 points, but he officially finished with 35, and he sprinkled in some flashy assists to finish with seven. He plays with incredible energy and he can dunk with the best of them, even getting a behind the back jam.
The other two games I added were from his junior year, including a meeting with current Kentucky point guard De'Aaron Fox, who entered the NBA Draft today.
