Watching this game while getting ready for dinner later and see something that reminds me that it isn't just our coaches that make some head scratching decisions. TCU is up 21-3 and getting mmmm they get the ball back around their 20 yard line with just over a minute remaining in the first half. A first down run gets them almost 20 yards. Next play on 1st amd 10 they run it and pick up 7 yards. 2nd and 3 and they throw. deep incomplete bringing up third and 3 with about 50 seconds to go. Michigan only has one time out remaining so I'm thinking, this is a no brainer running play coming up right? I mean even if you don't pick up the three yards, you force Michigan to call their last TO and you punt it deep. Instead they throw incomplete on third down, stopping the clock and allowing Michigan to save their TO. They punt, Michigan is able to get into position to try and long FG because they have that one TO. Game goes from a three score game at 21-3 at half to a two score game at 21-6. Just hard to understand how a staff of guys at that level make such poor decisions and helps me remember that it doesn't just happen at NC State. Hope it doesn't come back to be a factor in this game. Go Horned Frogs!
