"Jashon Roundtree is a late bloomer. But as the saying goes, “it’s better late than never.”
The West Craven defensive back went from a 5-foot-7 team manager as a freshman to being on the radar of several Division-I college football programs.
While he doesn’t hold any official offers yet, Roundtree has been told that if he attends some of these camps over the summer, the offers will start piling up.
He’s heard from N.C. State, Appalachian State, N.C. Central and N.C. A&T, among others.
“He is being tugged in so many different directions,” West Craven coach Matt Riggsbee said. “He was my manager and then he shot out of a cannon and he has worked his butt off the last three years."
