NC State has verbal commitments from:

Guard/center Harrison Gee Burlington (N.C.) Williams High
Safety Tim Glass Danville (Va.) Lynchburg Liberty Christian
Quarterback Dylan Parham Southeast Raleigh High
Guard/center Joe Sculthorpe Hampstead (N.C.) Topsail High
Defensive tackle Kobe Smith Lawrenceville (Ga.) Archer High
Cornerback James Valdez Orangeburg (S.C.) Wilkinson High

Here is a list of the 35 prospects on NC State's recruiting board in order of our opinion of the likelihood that NC State will land the recruit.

It does not reflect the opinion of NC State's football staff and is for discussion purposes only.

1. Cornerback Tyric McCarter, New Bern (N.C.) High
Thus far much of McCarter's recruitment has played under the radar. At last check, NC State remained his lone major offer, thus at the moment NC State would seem to be the obvious choice. The Pack has a strong relationship with New Bern.
Prediction: NC State

2. Safety Roy Baker, Hialeah (Fla.) American High
Baker made an unofficial visit last week, and like McCarter, NC State is his current lone offer. New receivers coach George McDonald has great contacts in the South Florida region, and we've noticed some early offers out at American High so it's a school we are watching.
Prediction: NC State

3. Cornerback Emmanuel Appiah, Oradell (N.J.) Bergen Catholic
Appiah is a lot like Baker, with the exception he is from New Jersey rather than Florida. He, too, visited two weeks ago.
Prediction: NC State

4. Wide receiver Chavis Dawkins, Duncan (S.C.) Byrnes High
Dawkins has been on NC State's radar since last summer when he shined at the Pack's summer camp. Since then Dawkins has visited at least twice, including in March. Right now the Pack is in a battle with Wake Forest for Dawkins.
Prediction: NC State

5. Athlete Eddie Hahn, Red Bank (N.J.) Catholic
NC State sent Hahn his first offer last fall, but it is as a safety and we get the vibe that Hahn would like to hold out for a quarterback offer. He has, however, taken two unofficial visits to NCSU, including once this spring.
Prediction: NC State

6. Defensive back Joe Jay Smith, Bethlehem (Pa.) Catholic
NCSU also gave Smith his first offer, and he continues to have a picture of his visit to Raleigh on his twitter profile page. Since then, Boston College and Wake Forest have offered Smith, but we get the vibe that NCSU gave themselves a nice early lead with Smith.
Prediction: NC State

7. Tight end Garrett Walston, Wilmington (N.C.) New Hanover High
We expect that Walston will be the next prominent NCSU target to decide. It currently looks like a NCSU-UNC battle with Virginia Tech the wildcard. We currently project Walston to NC State with a reasonable, but not high, level of confidence.
Prediction: NC State

8. Cornerback Mark Gilbert, Fayetteville (N.C.) Terry Sanford High
We get the vibe that Gilbert may rank at the top of NC State's board at cornerback. Michigan's push is a serious threat to NCSU, but we currently like where the Pack sits with him. Pittsburgh, given his family connections, is also in the mix.
Prediction: NC State

9. Offensive tackle Josh Ball, Fredericksburg (Va.) Stafford High
It may be a leap of faith putting Ball this high, but we know that NCSU has felt good about where they have stood with him for a while. Penn State is a strong threat here, and our projection of Ball to NCSU is not a high-confidence once.
Prediction: NC State

10. Defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence, Wake Forest (N.C.) High
Our first projection is for NCSU given that the early vibe is Lawrence is likely to stay within the region for college, but before we get NC State fans overly excited, this is a low-confidence projection and subject to quick and perhaps frequent changes.
Prediction: NC State

11. Linebacker LaRonde' Liverpool, Virginia Beach (Va,) Landstown High
We were not sure how committable Liverpool's NCSU offer was but it is noteworthy that he was back on campus Tuesday, his second unofficial visit to NC State since February. Virginia and Wake Forest have also offered Liverpool, but when we talked with Liverpool we did not get the vibe that the Cavs were in heavy pursuit.
Prediction: NC State

12. Linebacker Brock Miller, Fort Pierce (Fla.) John Carroll High
Miller visited NC State in March, and since then he has been fairly consistent in listing Kentucky and NCSU as his top two, although he has thrown Boise State in among those two in some reports.
Prediction: Kentucky/NC State

13. Tight end Robert Tucker, Atlanta B.E.S.T. Academy
Tucker has listed NC State and Wake Forest as his top two schools, and he visited NC State unofficially this spring. However, if Walston does pick NCSU, it leaves us wondering what that means for the other tight ends on the board.
Prediction: Wake Forest/NC State

14. Defensive end Jimmie Taylor, Jacksonville (N.C.) Southwest Onslow High
The intelligence we have on Taylor is that Tennessee and NC State may be emerging as Taylor's top two schools, but we have not confirmed or seen that from Taylor himself.
Prediction: Tennessee

15. Safety Jalen Elliott, Chesterfield (Va.) Lloyd C. Bird High
Elliott visited NCSU in February and picked up an offer from the Pack. It looks like Virginia Tech and NC State may be Elliott's early top two. A return visit to Raleigh could be in the works. He was at VT this past week.
Prediction: Virginia Tech

16. Wide receiver Jailyn Ingram, Madison (Ga.) Morgan County High
If this was a football-only decision for Ingram, we would like NC State's chances. But Ingram may choose to go hoops-only or try both sports in college. Georgia Tech appears to be the lone school offering for both basketball and football.
Prediction: Georgia Tech

17. Linebacker Brandon Randle, Battle Creek (Mich.) Central High
Randle went from having offers from the bulk of the MAC schools to tenders from both NC State and Michigan State in the past couple of weeks. Realistically, despite his visit to Raleigh on Tuesday, it's hard to expect a Michigan-product to turn down the Spartans for NCSU.
Prediction: Michigan State

18. Safety Isaiah Stallings, Fayetteville (N.C.) Terry Sanford High
We have a sneaky suspicion that NC State could really move up here if they can secure Gilbert in the near future. A lot would also depend on if Clemson decides to push for Stallings or not. If they do, the Tigers become a solid favorite. As of right now, we think Stallings' top three in order could be Clemson, UNC and NC State.
Prediction: North Carolina

19. Linebacker Donta Evans, Lawrenceville (Ga.) Archer High
NC State has a lot of ins with Evans and he raved to us about his recent visit to Raleigh, but Evans' stock is on the rise and he is hungry for more offers. As of now we think the Pack has a firm chance with Evans, although we are projecting him towards Auburn.
Prediction: Auburn

20. Wide receiver Diondre Overton, Greensboro (N.C.) Page High
NC State was able to get Overton on campus on Tuesday, but Overton has a pretty well-established top three in order of Clemson, Tennessee and NC State.
Prediction: Clemson

21. Wide receiver Myles Dorn, Charlotte Vance High
It's hard to imagine Dorn ending up anywhere but UNC given his family connection there, but supposedly Dorn is also high on Tennessee and NC State. He visited Raleigh for a junior day in January.
Prediction: North Carolina

22. Linebacker Xander Gagnon, Charlotte Catholic
Repeated attempts to get Gagnon on the phone have not worked, but his stock is on the rise and he now has offers from all the in-state schools with the exception of Duke. He could end up higher or lower on this list if and when we can get an interview with him.
Prediction: Unknown

23. Defensive end Jamal Smith, Hialeah (Fla.) American High
Smith told Rivals.com that NC State was in his top three along with Kentucky and Pittsburgh. He is another prospect from American High that has been reporting an offer from the Wolfpack.
Prediction: Pittsburgh

24. Offensive tackle Robert Kraeling, Bogard (Ga.) Prince Avenue Christian
Kraeling is arriving in the Triangle today to visit Duke and NC State. The Pack was Krealing's first offer, and we have always felt that Kraeling really felt that he fit in well at NC State. However, there is a growing feeling that Alabama could be tough to beat, and we would not discount the Devils either.
Prediction: Alabama

25. Wide receiver Eric Kumah, Woodbridge (Va.) Forest Park High
Kumah has visited NC State and has listed the Pack in his top 10. He is set to announce in late-June, and between now and then NCSU and others will have to close the gap on the sizeable lead that Virginia Tech has built.
Prediction: Virginia Tech

26. Safety Jaqui Givens, Mechanicsville (Va.) Atlee High
Givens visited NCSU in March and picked up an offer from the Wolfpack., and since then he has tweeted very positively about NC State, so this ranking could be too low for him. It's worth noting that Givens has an impressive early offer list (Michigan, Michigan State, Virginia Tech, Maryland, etc.)
Prediction: Unknown

27. Safety Grant Holloway, Chesapeake (Va.) Grassfield High
Holloway is an intriguing talent given his size/speed. He is an excellent track athlete and has his focus on that, but he does have NC State among his six standouts along with Virginia, Virginia Tech, Tennessee, Georgia and Penn State. That's encouraging for the Pack considering we do not believe he has visited Raleigh yet.
Prediction: Unknown

28. Tight end Sam Letton, Marietta (Ga.) Walton High
Letton has unofficially visited NC State, but we have not been able to reach Letton to gauge his feelings on the Pack or mutual interest level from NC State's end. We do know Letton is originally from Kentucky, and UK is strongly in the mix. Syracuse, Wake Forest and West Virginia have also offered.
Prediction: Kentucky

29. Defensive end Patrick Jones, Chesapeake (Va.) Grassfield High
Jones unofficially visited in February and reportedly picked up an offer at that point. He told us he also has offers from Duke, Virginia and Wake Forest among others, and to be honest the vibe we got was that he really liked Duke. We could be way off on that, however.
Prediction: Duke

30. Wide receiver Ben Skowronek, Ft. Wayne (Ind.) Homestead High
NC State apparently has some connections to Skowronek, so there is a chance he could move up the list if he takes a visit to Raleigh. He also claims offers from Boston College, Indiana, Iowa and Purdue from the power conference schools.
Prediction: Unknown

31. Safety Patrick Johnson, Potomac (Md.) Bullis School
Johnson recently took a visit this spring to NC State and emerged with an offer. While in the area he visited UNC, who has also offered. Based on twitter and previous reports, he seemed a bit intrigued by the Heels.
Prediction: North Carolina

32. Athlete Thaddeus Moss, Charlotte Mallard Creek High
The fact that NC State was one of Moss' first offers and he came for a small junior day during the winter is why we put Moss on the list. Truth is Moss has sworn off doing interviews so where he truly stands is unknown. He does have impressive offers that include, among others, Michigan, Nebraska, Oregon and Southern Cal.
Prediction: Unknown

33. Offensive lineman Jay Jay McCargo, Arlington (Va.) Bishop O'Connell High
McCargo has been described to us as a "great kid" who will probably like everyone. He is related to former NCSU defensive tackle John McCargo, we are told, and did visit March 21. He also has offers from Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Penn State and Tennessee, among others.
Prediction: Unknown

34. Tight end Andrew Trainer, Alexandria (Va.) St. Stephens & St. Agnes School
Trainer impressed last summer at NCSU camps and now reports an offer from the Pack. It would not surprise us if true, and he unofficially visited in March. He also lists offers from Illinois, Virginia and Wake Forest. We are trying to confirm his offer, but he could very well deserve to be higher.
Prediction: Virginia

35. Tight end Noah Turner, Mundelain (Ill.) Carmel Catholic High
Turner visited this spring and picked up an offer from NCSU. We think the Pack has a solid foundation with him, but there were some red flags when we talked to him. One is his admiration of UNC through former tight end Eric Ebron and the second was Turner's statement to us that he was hoping for bigger offers this summer, thus likely camping at Georgia and Michigan.
Prediction: Unknown
