• A player who was symptomatic tested positive on Tuesday (I am fairly certain this was J.T. Jarrett).

• At the time, all other players were negative, but one player who was Jarrett's roommate (Evan Justice) was in protocol on contact tracing and Pack was hoping he was test out. NC State wanted to test every day, NCAA said no to that. Eventually, Justice tested positive by Friday.

• New development is that two more unvaccinated players tested positive on Friday as well, giving them four total. NCAA then made an arbitrary decision that all unvaccinated players would be removed from the game. All would test negative that afternoon but not in time to make it back to the game.

• At 7:30 p.m., the NCAA tested all vaccinated players, at which point four more players tested positive.

From the report:

"With eight positive tests and impending contact tracing, the NCAA’s point of view was that it would be impossible for NC State to finish the tournament, while also caring about the health and safety of participants. Of course, that reasoning will be hotly contested by those who saw countless sendoff and welcoming parties at different team hotels around downtown Omaha over the past two weeks."
