Back from vacation today and here's, from best I can tell, where recruiting stands:
• Odds favor trying to add three guys (plus holding onto Jamious Griffin).
• Suspect that the coaching changes at Miami, Auburn and Georgia Tech have helped NC State with Griffin, but until signing day Georgia Tech in particular is going to loom large.
• As for the three spots: my understanding is NC State is looking for a nose tackle, an offensive tackle and an older receiver/defensive back, depending on which is a better fit.
• Haven't heard concrete names but there has been chatter about names yet at offensive tackle but would not rule out the Pack looking at potential transfer options in addition to high school prospects. I do believe NC State will try with long-time Ohio State commit Doug Nester but understand that's a long shot.
• Like at OT, nothing concrete yet at defensive tackle, but there are a couple of potential names out there, including a sleeper in the Midwest and an unsigned well-regarded prospect in Texas.
