NC State coach Dave Doeren said that quarterback MJ Morris came to him and was “decisive” to want to redshirt. He was genuinely surprised since he was starting. He wouldn’t say if Morris will be transferring or anything like that. He was on the scout team this week.
Doeren was not happy that the Morris news leaked out, but the collectives love to gossip, so how that goes. He wanted Wake Forest have to prepare for Morris and Armstrong this week.
Doeren declined talking about who will be the backup quarterback by joking it could be Dylan McMahon or Payton Wilson.
He didn’t want to take any questions about Morris but effusive with his praise of Brennan Armstrong’s character and leadership.
