Rock HIll, S.C., hosted a 7-on-7 on Saturday and Under Armour/ESPN held a camp Sunday, and Clinton (N.C.) High junior defensive end Amaris Williams was one of the standouts, along with Charlotte (N.C.) Providence Day junior wide receiver Jordan Shipp, Matthews (N.C.) Weddington junior wide receiver Keenan Jackson, and Greensboro (N.C.) Grimsley sophomore defensive end Bryce Davis. NC State will get official visits from Williams (June 9), Shipp (June 16) and Jackson (sometime in June) for sure. Davis has been a tricky recruitment from the start because he isn't 100 percent sure how he fits in with NC State's 3-3-5 defense.

Working back to Williams, he has terrific measurables and he is the winner of supply and demand because the state lacks defensive end prospects in 2024. He is also raw and this past year was probably the first time he got coached up. He'll commit Aug. 16.

I also heard Kernersville (N.C.) East Forsyth sophomore quarterback Bryce Baker, who played his first two years at Walkertown (N.C.) High, spun the ball well. UNC offered him Monday.
