It just feels like our football recruiting has lost its mojo. Not sure if the immediate success that Will Wade has delivered, along with his energy and excitement…but DD just is not keeping up.

I hate to say it because I truly like DD as an upstanding guy, but its beginning to feel like the end of the TOB experience…

The Paul Mbiya saga has come to an end where he won't be coming to NC State. He had signed with NC State, but he also didn't get much for NIL, and the Wolfpack ended up using the resources on Darrion Williams and Ven-Allen Lubin, who are probably a combined $4.8 million of the $11 million budget. Mbiya's mentor is the same as Mohamed Diarra's, but his agent might be the same as Williams.

If he comes over to the U.S., it will be interesting to see if he ever becomes more than a shot-blocker and dunker, but he's something else at those two things with a 7-8 wingspan. NC State doesn't have someone with those defensive traits at center.

Cornelius (N.C.) High senior wide receiver Tyran Evans won't be going to Tennessee. He has visited NC State, Kentucky and Miami (Fla.) this month, so that relationship was on the rocks. Pure deep threat, vertical receiver with solid size at about 6-foot-3. Some similarities to Terrell Anderson, but not copy cats of each other.

The US National Championships start tomorrow in Indiana. It is streaming for free on the USA Swimming Network. Peacock is streaming the finals. This meet will determine who will be on the US team at the World Championships and at the World University games.

23 swimmers will be representing NC State, 10 women and 13 men. I am a little concerned that Kaii Winkler isn't there.
