Recruiting NC State lands a heck of a PWO...

It's been interesting seeing what Charlotte Providence Day linebackers Liam Groulx and Keyaan Abdul-Rahim were going to do. Groulx decided to be a preferred walk-on at Michigan and Abdul-Rahim has picked being a walk-on at NC State. Abdul-Rahim could easily be a factor on special teams I think and be a good depth guy at linebacker. Super productive player.

He had 132 tackles, 10 tackles for loss and five sacks this past season.

There’s a reason PNC Arena wasn’t half-full for a rivalry game — in years past, more people have braved an ice storm to see State host Duke — at 7 p.m. on a weeknight. Paying customers across the league have lost interest.

At this point, is "Tobacco Road" just a memory in our rear view mirrors? Have we lost interest, as DeCock poses, or have we just been waiting for something more reliable to cheer about? I have to say my zeal for the sport isn't what it was a few decades ago. Sometimes I just have to turn the TV off nowadays, dreading that I will witness a backslide once we've taken a lead...for both football and basketball. I've seen it too many times.

I'm pining for something more reliable. Is that a pipe dream in today's world of college hoops, Raleigh, NC version? Hmmm.
