NC State just offered junior kicker Nolan Hauser of Cornelius (N.C.) Hough, who is fantastic, but now Clemson just offered him. His dad played baseball there and mom is a Hall of Fame soccer player from CU, and his older sister is on the soccer team now. He says he's not a Clemson lock, but history usually shows otherwise. He also has offers from North Carolina and Maryland, and interest from Notre Dame and Ohio State.

Lawwuf, dawylie and packpride92 all had 24 points in impressive showings in the last pic' em of the season.

packpride92 picked the Wolfpack to win 28-26 to win the tie-breaker.

Butler coach Thad Matta talked a little about the game, apparently Manny Bates spent his fall break with the guys at NC State and the Bulldogs weren't built for three games in three days probably with eight healthy players. A shooter from Akron and a big man from Georgia State in particular haven't played yet this season.

With the Tennessee and USC game going to overtime, which was won by the Volunteers, the NC State and Dayton game will get pushed back a bit from the 4 p.m. tip on ESPN News.

Former Creedmoor South Granville star Bobby Pettiford hit the game-winner in overtime to help Kansas defeat Wisconsin in the other semifinal.

So, what does the UNC football and BBall have in common?

Both have lost their last two games and both programs lost their last game in multiple OT's, 4 OT's in BBall.

For good measure, throw in Duke getting clobbered 56-75.

Not sure about fire, but there is definitely smoke.

I rewatched condensed game highlights and really recognized how well Betty played at the end of regulation and the OTs. Without his play, not sure that the Heels don’t score a TD in one of the OTs.

I thought early in the game, Moore’s absence was noticeable when he was out on the drive that led to the Heel’s FG. Betty was out of position a couple of times.

Then, late in the game, it was clear that Moore was not 100 percent with his pursuit. I had just started to notice that before he got banged up again on a tackle.

When Betty came back in with about 2 minutes left, he didn’t miss a beat. He was in on three or four key plays. Despite losing one of the best LB corps NC State has ever had, we may be in pretty good shape at that position next year.

Home run hire for the Badgers imo and smart for Fickell to wait for the right gig.

Duke sophomore quarterback Riley Leonard has been overshadowed by UNC’s Drake Maye, but he has some stones. Having a terrific performance vs. Wake Forest in front of no crowd.
