Rhett's sister is a senior at State and his brother plays baseball at Garner Webb. Great family! Kid is absolute stud and great, great, kid! Had offers from every major D1 in country but chose to stay home mostly because Coach Heart!

Whether NC State goes after a portal nose tackle in the near future probably comes down to what kind of confidence the staff has in sophomore Nick Campbell.

However, I'm sure they'll give Wisconsin nose tackle Gio Paez a good look. NC State offered Paez in the class of 2019 as an offensive lineman coming out of Cornelius (N.C.) Hough. The Wolfpack had him unofficially visit as early as his sophomore year at Hough.

Paez is now 6-3 and 310 pounds and he's played in 33 games. This past year he started six of 13 games and had 23 tackles.

There is a rumor that State's coach is toast and Sean Miller is a good possibility as the replacement. There have been talks since early February with Sean's agent. Sean wants a pool of money for assistants. Levi would stay. He would bring Gainey and Archie. State Athletics Dept. has green light it. Hope it is true. This would be a HR hire with that staff. Ref the green light, State Athletics are scare of losing money by not making a move. The new hire will create revenue(nil) and tickets/attendance take care of expenses.

Tried to take a picture of each position group for an upcoming photo gallery, and coach Dave Doeren will be speaking at 11 a.m. or so.

I didn't see Notre Dame transfer Zeke Correll at center today, and there have been rumblings of an injury, but we'll see what Doeren says.

Nothing too crazy with the depth charts. It appeared that linebacker Kamal Bonner and cornerback Brandon Cisse were running with the ones, along with Villanova transfer Devon Marshall at nickel.

It was good to see the newcomers and I tried to concentrate on them and hopefully got each of them for pictures.

With some of the injuries on the offensive line, redshirt freshman guard Kamen Smith and Oregon transfer Dawson Jaramillo logged more snaps.

Jakolbe Baldwin was with the wide receivers and Isaiah Shirley with the defensive lineman.

Bill Covington, Clarence Armstrong and Jeffery Clark the officials for NC State at North Carolina.
