The rumors had been flying that former Duke player Rasheed Sulaimon could end up at Maryland, for a variety of reasons. UMD is proud of how they handled Dez Wells after he ran into problems at Xavier, and coach Mark Turgeon obviously knows Sulaimon, both from his days in high school (when Turgeon was at Texas A&M) and then coaching against him in the ACC.
Sulaimon selected Maryland today per ESPN, and should be on track to play immediately next year. The Terps should be preseason Big Ten favorites and top five in the country.
