Douglasville (Ga.) Douglas County senior wing Brandon Robinson committed to North Carolina over Florida State, Georgia and others. He's very skinny at 6-foot-5 and 170 pounds (maybe a smidge taller), but versatile. I didn't think he was a good enough jump shooter, but then he shot much better in July. He started off the month with the Georgia Stars and won the Nike EYBL title at Peach Jam, and then joined NC State commit Dennis Smith Jr. and Wolfpack target Edrice Adebayo on Team Loaded NC for the next two July evaluation periods.
UNC assistant coach Steve Robinson watched his every game when I went up to Richmond. Some thought he was there for Smith and Adebayo, but Robinson was likely the main reason because the Tar Heels knew they could get that done. UNC is probably still desperate for some wings with the sophomore small forward Justin Jackson a candidate to enter the NBA Draft.
