The Alpha Wolf was a success Friday and ended just in time before a storm came through the area. Ten of the 11 Wolfpack commits were able to attend and several targets in the classes of 2023, 2024 and 2025.

Here is a look at the majority of the players who attended.

Class of 2023

Concepcion is down to NC State and North Carolina and he plans to make his college decision knowing following Charlotte Chambers High's walk-through at practice Aug. 19. My gut still thinks it is NC State, but my gut has not always been full proof. He simply seems to enjoy being around the other NC State commits.

Jones is physically impressive and his fellow South Carolina native Brandon Cisse made sure he got plenty of attention and introduced him to Havelock (N.C.) High commit Javonte Vereen. NC State, Duke, Florida State and Missouri have offered him from Power Five Conferences, and he officially visited the Blue Devils in June. He'll be back for an official visit in the fall.

Peal started what is a busy weekend. He's at NC State on Friday, Georgia on Saturday and Michigan on Sunday. Those three schools and South Carolina seemingly have the edge at the moment. It seemed like every NC State defensive assistant coach took turns letting Peal know how valued he is. The other defensive back commits also worked on him. He plans to attend the Charleston Southern at NC State game for his official visit Sept. 9-11.

Jones and his parents both came, which is now maybe the fourth time since last November that he's unofficially visited. Jones has a top five of NC State, Duke, Connecticut, Iowa State and Air Force, and he wants to officially visit Sept. 17 when Texas Tech comes to town. Everything about NC State makes sense for Jones at the moment, but he's going to be thorough about his process.

Class of 2024

I said this the last time I saw Taylor when he playing hoops in mid-June, he's sneaky big for a wide receiver. It's going to be fun to see how good he and junior wide receiver Terrell Anderson will be at Grimsley High this season. We fully expect Anderson's recruitment to take off at some point in the next year too. NC State, Clemson and North Carolina have all prioritized him already.

Shipp also has a busy weekend with NC State on Friday and then at Michigan on Sunday. It feels like there is another level for Shipp to achieve in the recruiting world, but it also might be clear that NC State has won best in-state option for him moving forward. He's been to UNC, but he seems to enjoy the Wolfpack vibe and wide receivers coach Joker Phillips.

Lewis returned to NC State for the third time, having been to a Junior Day on Jan 31, and then he camped and got an offer this past June. The connection to defensive coordinator and linebackers coach Tony Gibson is obvious, with Gibson hailing from West Virginia. Lewis has four offers including NC State, Marshall, Toledo and Eastern Kentucky.

Barnhardt hustled from going to West Virginia on Thursday and then making his way down to NC State. He last came in June for an unofficial visit and he has been pretty effusive with praise for the Wolfpack coaches.

Calloway camped at NC State in June and has all the measurables at 6-foot-7 and 300 pounds with a 7-0 wingspan. He just doesn't have a lot of experience yet on the field. We'll have a story with Calloway in the next week.

Moore plays with NC State cornerback commit Brandon Cisse and has good size at about 6-1 or 6-2. He said he did 6-4 in the high jump this past spring, which is pretty good for being a sophomore. His recruitment is in the beginning, but his video looks good and he has played at different spots in the lineup.

Rockhead is a new name and got to meet him and his parents. He has a really good frame at 6-4 and 240 pounds, and has offers from South Carolina State and North Carolina Central. He's someone I'll do a little more digging on and tuck away for the future.

Class of 2025

The first new offer out of Alpha Wolf. The tight end goes to the rival school of NC State senior offensive lineman commit Obadiah Obasuyi, who attends Alpharetta (Ga.) High. Ghea has offers from NC State, Connecticut, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Indiana, Liberty, Louisville, Mississippi and Ohio State, so he's well on his way.

The 14-year-old Bolder came to NC State's camp June 5 and proceeded to run a 4.62-second 40-yard dash with a 33.8-inch vertical jump. NC State offered him and by the end of June, so had many others. Campbell, Duke, Liberty, North Carolina, South Carolina and Wake Forest all offered him. He hopes to attend a steady stream of college football games this fall, including watching NC State.

Aug. 19 can't come fast enough for Sanders, who had most of his freshman year eliminated due to injury. The anticipation to lay eyes on Sanders is as high as any player in the state. The buzz has been strong on Sanders since last October, and now is for the recruiting gurus and coaches to actually see him in action. NC State was able to get Sanders on campus for the second time since mid-June, and he doesn't have any immediate plans to see other schools. It's safe to assume this could be a national recruitment.

Ritchey is a return visitor and will likely be a steady presence at NC State for the foreseeable future. NC State hasn't offered yet but he does have seven offers — Georgia, Michigan, Oregon, Virginia Tech, Washington, Colorado State and Miami (Ohio).
