Honestly I saw a frightened man, like a deer in the headlights. He didn’t look like the BB in control of 10 years ago. This was t a good investment for UNC from a PR standpoint and brand perspective and that will effect football.

And yet, at least for now, the PTBs sit mostly silent. Certainly quite different from all the crowing they were doing when they hired Hill Billy. So yeah, I think “uncomfortable” is probably accurate. But they’ve had a lot of practice dealing with sticky situations… “the worst case of academic fraud in the history of the ncaa”… and they never showed an ounce of contrition. But they at least did respond to the allegations. “Rogues” they said! The “academic fraud” was being done TO them! So they conducted “independent investigations” *winkwink*nodnod*… one after another after another! All lies, but still a response. With this, however, it’s different…

Way different! Not even a peep, at least not that I’ve heard, from Administration Argyle. Nor any rebuttal from the Argyle Aristocrats of the PTB. They just seem to be bending over and taking it. But really, I mean, what is there to say? They signed up for this… enthusiastically! arrogantly! Ewe get what ewe pay for - $10mm/yr coach comes with $10mm/yr publicity! And we get to watch… for free!

People can think he is the GOAT, blah, blah, but any other new head football coach at a major university is going to be completely absorbed in that job every day of the week. Head coaches of these schools are CEOs of major enterprises, and new ones especially have to oversee every aspect of culture, administration, talent evaluation process, talent recruitment, NIL flow and control, practice routine, game day routine, development structures, assistant organization, on and on. I guarantee you that the first few years that DD was here, he did nothing but live and breath NC State football. Even now, in years when he has major coaching turnover, his workload is still probably overwhelming. I fish at Gaston all the time, and his house there looks empty just about every time I go by there.

I really think there is something wrong with Belichek now and I will be really surprised if Carolina’s season isn’t a complete disaster.

it is my very humble opinion, that this will not end well for UNC, including like lots of money lost.... I really do not care about his personal life, and must say his girlfriend is very attractive... but the way he and his better half are reacting, is not a good sign for UNC football.... just saying...
