So with a little bit more perspective a few days after the game, it has been interesting to see all the teeth gnashing by Carolina sports media sites and fans on social.
The focus has been mostly two-fold: How did we not do any better the last two years with Drake Maye, and why do we fall off a cliff late in the season?
What nobody seems to be asking, at least as much, is how does our defense stink this bad with two top-flight LBs like Gray and Echol?
Don’t exactly know the answer to that question, except that I do think those two guys are very good players.
Is it the secondary scheme (they seemed to play a lot of zone against us)? A soft DL (Armstrong had all day sometimes)? Are Murphy and some other DLs pretty much busts?
