There will be three main shoe-sponsored events in the southeast this week (July 8-12), so it will be easier to bounce around for the NC State coaches.
Assistant coach Bobby Lutz will be at the Under Armour Camp in Charlotte and then some at the Phenom Hoops Report tourney in Greensboro, which has Lynchburg (Va.) Virginia Episcopal senior power forward Sacha Killeya-Jones.
Assistant coach Orlando Early will bounce back and forth between the adidas Tournament in the Atlanta area and Nike Peach Jam in North Augusta, S.C.
Assistant coach Jeff Dunlap will be going to adidas and Peach Jam early in the period and then head to Greensboro later in the period.
Head coach Mark Gottfried will likely be zeroing in on Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) Cardinal Gibbons wing Maverick Rowan of Each 1 Teach 1 at Peach Jam because his official visit to NCSU is in the works this month at some point. I don't think NC State would spend as much man-power at Peach Jam this year if it wasn't for Rowan, but it's crunch time, literally. Gottfried will also be checking out Team Loaded NC in Atlanta with Fayetteville (N.C.) Trinity Christian senior point guard Dennis Smith Jr. and Pinetown (N.C.) Northside senior center Edrice Adebayo.
NC State could also be affected down the line if Rowan of center Georgios Papagiannis officially visit during one of the last two evaluation periods (July 15-19 and July 22-26).
