Virtually everyone has noted the defensive problems with our team the last few years. Some of that can be attributed to having a short bench, which was the case last year and thus far this year. It's hard to play balls out D when you have a limited number of players. Just can't sustain it for 40 minutes.
With that said, there seems to be more to it than that where we are concerned. I always feel like teams playing us get lots of looks and 2nd chance point opportunities.
I just can't accept that Gott only focuses on offense. He and his staff have to see the defensive deficiencies just like we do.
Certainly hoping for vast improvement once we have all players back providing the necessary depth needed. With our collective athleticism, there is no reason this gang shouldn't be able to consistently D it up. Curious what others thought.
