Defund all police departments in the US due to the systemic racism that exists within these departments?
Even though, of the 800,000 police officers in the US, about 44% are Hispanic, 12% are African American and 7% are Asian American. Or, 63% of the police officers in the US represent minority communities.
A large percentage of the total number of police officers in the US are located in major cities; NY, Chicago, Los Angeles, Atlanta, etc., etc., etc. In many of the states where these cities are located the governors are liberal, the attorney generals and most of the other state level judicial system representatives are liberal, in many of these cities the mayors are liberal, most of the district attorneys and city/county level judicial system representatives are liberal.
Seems to me if you want to eliminate the racism that does exist in the police departments, it would be better to start at the top, that at the bottom.
