Thought his preview made a lot of good points. Called the strength of the team defensive continuity thought it also noted "Dave Huxtable's recent defenses have been talented enough to be frustrating" and the unit "was never quite the sum of its parts."

The weakness he named was "a total offensive reset" but said "there's certainly raw talent here" pointing to running back Ricky Person Jr., and wideouts Emeka Emezie, Tabari Hines and Thayer Thomas.

The opportunity was listed as "a few easy wins," saying NCSU "should be 3-1 at worst when they head to Tallahassee on Sept. 28" and overall there "are only two projected top-30 opponents on the slate. If State figures some things out early on, another eight- or nine-win season could be in the works."

The ESPN FPI projection for wins is at 7.4.

Anyway, I thought it was a fair preview, though I am a little shocked at how high he was on FSU (projected 8.1 wins and No. 21 in the country): https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/27201921/acc-atlantic-preview-welcome-clemson-world
