After seeing the golf thread, I thought perhaps there might be some fly fisherman on the board. I very much enjoy fishing for trout and wanted to get some thoughts on your favorite streams, rivers, flies and techniques.

I live in Tennessee and have two excellent tailwater rivers nearby - the South Holston and Watauga that are best accessed via float boats. They have gotten very crowded unfortunately and it seems browns are taking over but they hold some huge, healthy fish and are two favorites of mine.

I also enjoy fishing small mountain streams for natives and there are a number of good ones in the high country of TN, VA and NC. Hampton Creek is a favorite near Roan mountain and the scenery is beautiful.

I love a good hatch and dry fly strike but I catch many more fish while nymphing and usually fish dry dropper rigs on mountain streams and wadeable rivers.

I know you wet a line every now and then One Putt - Others?
