Something I've been pondering for the future.
The schools that don't cast a wide net in recruiting, really suffer when they need to add multiple guys in the portal. Looking at all the players who have entered the portal, and very few were recruited by NC State out of high school. Landers Nolley, Jairus Hamilton come to mind, maybe a few others. With the mid/low-major guys, it can be tough, but it's a "who you know" business. Cold calling can sometimes work as we have mentioned in the past, but most of these players know where they want to go based on pre-existing relationships and good 'ol fashioned tampering.
