Former NC State offensive line coach Mike Uremovich was hired at Ball State. He was with with coach Dave Dave Doeren as the running backs/special teams coach at Northern Illinois, and then was the offensive line coach at NC State from 2013-15. He became the offensive coordinator at Northern Illinois and Temple, before getting hired as head coach at Butler in 2022. He went 23-11 in three years at Butler, including 9-3 this past season. Big former NC State offensive lineman and graduate assistant Alex Barr was his offensive coordinator at Butler.
