NC State head coach Kevin Keatts and assistant coaches Takayo Siddle and Roy Roberson were spotted in Atlanta, where they got to watch CP3 and senior guard target Wendell Moore of Concord Cox Mill go against Charlotte native Jaden Springer, a junior shooting guard. Springer apparently was outstanding in the battle of Rivals.com five-star players.

The Wolfpack coaches also got to watch CP3 16s guards Camren Hayes and Tristan Maxwell. Hayes apparently will move into the class of 2021 at Greensboro Day, after playing for Greensboro Smith his first two years. Maxwell, who has an NC State offer, plays for Huntersville (N.C.) North Meck High.

Team United senior small forward Patrick Williams of West Charlotte High was also in Atlanta. Some college assistant coaches continue to confirm that Williams has been tough to reach on the phone and get a feel for what is going on in his recruitment.

Locally, Greensboro had a smattering of head coaches and assistants at the Jeff McInnis/Team Charlotte event at Proehlific Park. Saw head coaches from Providence, Houston, Marquette, Clemson and North Carolina Central, plus assistants from North Carolina, Pittsburgh, Kansas State, Cincinnati, ECU, Davidson and VCU among others. The two biggest attractions were Asheville (N.C.) Christian senior shooting guard Caleb Mills and Fayetteville (N.C.) Trinity Christian senior power forward Greg Gantt. Mills had 29 points in the first game, and then 32 points in a win over Team Felton. Offense comes really easy for him and he has a pretty jumper. I could see NC State getting involved soon. Marquette offered him following the games. Former Wolfpack guard Sam Hunt was watching the action.

Junior small forwards Ricky Council IV, who is from Durham, and Silas Mason of Greensboro are also high major or potential high major recruits on Team Felton, and it was good to see the progress of four-star junior center Justice Ajogbor of PSB Elite. Council has a ton of natural ability. His older brother started off at Providence and he is now at Maryland-Baltimore County. Some schools got turned off recruiting the older brother and that is probably affecting who is recruiting the younger sibling.
