NC State hasn't offered many junior running backs, and none from the state of North Carolina. That changed with former Salisbury (N.C.) High standout Jamal Rule, who reclassed at Charlotte Christian this fall, getting an offer. Nebraska just offered him a few days, along with Appalachian State, Miami (Ohio) and Catawba. He's a north-south one cut and go kind of running back. He's not going to waste time dancing, but he's subtle with his cuts in the hole or traffic.

He rushed 134 carries for 1,236 yards and 15 touchdowns in seven games played, if his MaxPreps.com stats are updated. He also added 12 catches for 121 yards and a score. Some September games were missing, but maybe he got hurt. He had over 131 yards in ever game listed.

Rule rushed for 2,712 yards and 36 touchdowns his first junior year at Salisbury, but couldn’t drum up any offers. He also caught 10 passes for 236 yards and three scores. He hit 200-plus yards in seven games, and had 360 yards and six scores against North Rowan High.
