We've been tracking reclassed sophomore point guard Camren Hayes since around January and February, and NC State has offered him Saturday. Hayes spent his first two years at Greensboro Smith High before transferring to Greensboro Day and reclassing to 2021. He played with CP3 16s this spring and summer, where I got to see him play in Hampton, Va., in late May and an event in Greensboro, N.C., in mid-July. He has good size for the position, is athletic and the form on his shot looks good. He'll need to get better at finishing in the lane, and when he does, I expect a big jump in his play. Rivals.com currently has him ranked No. 31 overall in the country in the class of 2021.
