I for one did not expect to win that game last night. Is Gott a great coach? No. But he is good enough. In his defense Maverick Rowan has been out for weeks, Omer Yurtseven still hasn't played (your best post player), Shaun Kirk hasn't gotten any better, and sadly BJ Anya did such a disservice to his teammates and himself by putting on close to 60 pounds. We basically played six guys last night with half of them being freshmen. We found out last year you cannot win games with six players. In addition, I'm sure practice has been a roller coaster throwing in Omer, Ted, and Maverick who have alternated availability. We are not a 1-5 seed team, and were never going to be one. Look for growth, and pray we win some big ones to make up for this God awful schedule.
