I always say that there needs to be something that helps a college stick out when dozens and dozens of schools jump in on a graduate transfer. NC State coaches don't know Ike Nwamu of Mercer personally, but he had a very productive redshirt junior year. The connection is Nwamu is from Asheboro, N.C., and some on this board know his back story well. Nwamu eventually transferred to High Point Westchester Country Day after joining Brian Clifton's D-One Sports. Quddus Bello and Quincy Miller were his running mates on both teams.
Nwamu then signed with Cleveland State and left after a year to Mercer. He's a heck of an athlete and probably has a gazillion views on You Tube for his best dunks. More importantly, his three-point shooting has improved. Pitt and UNLV have already made a move with him per Twitter folk.
