South Carolina landed its second offensive lineman from the state of North Carolina, picking up senior Pete Leota of Asheville (N.C.) High. He picked the Gamecocks over Virginia Tech, and joins Harrisburg (N.C.) Hickory Ridge senior offensive lineman Will Putnam.

NC State never offered the 6-foot-5, 295-pounder during the process, but he earned nine scholarships during the process. Leota will likely be part of the North Carolina offensive line at the Shrine Bowl next December, with Wolfpack commits Harrison Gee and Joe Sculthorpe, and possibly Kollin Byers.
