Campbell hired John Andrzejek as its new head coach, who has been an assistant coach the last two years at Florida. Well known for being an analytics genius. He's been tied at the hip to two of the top coaches in the country since being a student at Columbia. I'll assume he's in his mid-30s.
Andrzejek was a manager and then director of basketball operations at Columbia with current Stanford coach Kyle Smith. He then followed Smith to San Francisco, where he was ops guy for a year. After that, he became a full-time assistant coach at Johns Hopkins and Dartmouth, and reunited with Smith from 2019-23 at Washington State.
Andrzejek joined coach Todd Golden the last two years at Florida. Golden worked for Smith at Columbia from 2012-14 and then at San Francisco from 2016-19, and then became head coach when Smith went to Washington State.
Florida might be the best team in the country, and Smith pulled off a minor miracle this year going 21-13 at Stanford, and now in the second round of the NIT.
