Solid job but not always easy to win there because very few high-major in-state recruits. Some have wondered about Wake Forest coach Steve Forbes and Iowa, if it came open, but I get the sense not something he wants to do and doesn't miss the snow and cold weather.
Drake coach Ben McCollum is the darling at the ball with some of these midwest schools, even if he's only been a head coach for one year. It would be a brutal blow to West Virginia, but first-year coach Darian DeVries would also probably be able to win at Iowa. DeVries is from Iowa and played at Northern Iowa, and was the head coach at Drake, and was an assistant coach for a long time at Creighton. Very well respected.
