Both Lizzy Williamson of Southern Utah and Kianna Hamilton-Fisher of Long Beach State have texted to let me know they are locked in to officially visit NC State this weekend. I'd say both are finesse players who will need to adjust against more physical teams.

The 6-foot-5 Williamson is from Australia and averaged 9.6 points and 10.0 rebounds and blocked 77 shots last year. She was the WAC defensive player of the year, and second-team all-league. She redshirted her freshman year at Utah State and then left after a year, struggled to get a niche in 2020-21, and then broke through in 2021-22 with 24 starts in 29 games.

Williamson has a nice hook, good vision when passing, probably not all that quick or strong in the lower body at that height, but she knows how to be tall. She had five points, seven rebounds and one block in 34 minutes in the NCAA Tournament 82-56 loss vs. Notre Dame. She also had 12 points and nine rebounds against Oregon, eight points and six boards against Colorado and six points and 10 rebounds against Utah in non-competitive games.

Hamilton-Fisher helped Long Beach State go 23-10 and 17-3 in the Big West, which was second place in the regular season. The 6-foot fifth-year junior averaged 11.2 points, 2.5 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game. She averaged 34.8 percent on three-pointers and 44.2 percent from the field. It was her first year averaging in double figures.

She had 11 points against San Diego in a NIT loss, and had a season-high 25 points against Tulsa in a win Nov. 25. Against Arizona, she went 3 of 10 for nine points in a 22-point loss, and she had 10 points on 3 of 9 shooting in a 21-point loss at Baylor in her two P5 games.

In the Tulsa game, she showed she's a pretty jump shooter, more finesse than physical, probably limited to just playing small forward and can sneak out in transition for layups. Most of her offense comes from facing up on the perimeter and firing jumpers, but she did try twice to drive to the basket, but she's not overly explosive.
