Thought this was a good, in-depth piece (at least from the Titans perspective) on the possible Philip Rivers trade that is the league's hottest rumor. Part of me wonders if this is just a draft smokescreen, but another part thinks if there is smoke, there is fire.
Wolfpack alum/fan Will Brinson of CBS Sports is also quoted in the piece from The Tennesean.
My personal opinion - I do it if I'm the Titans, unless they want two first-rounders. This year's No. 2 pick and whatever else they want that isn't another first-rounder would be on the table for me.
It doesn't make as much sense for the Chargers IMHO, but if they're that high on Mariota and know Rivers is not going to play in LA (and if it looks like that is where they are going to play next year), you almost have to do it. You don't want to lose Rivers and miss out on Winston or Mariota (whichever is there at No. 2).
Is Philip Rivers trade too costly for Titans?
