After spending somewhere in the $25,000,000 range to get rid of Taggart (his Oregon buyout, the remainder of his prior buyout, both of which FSU had to pay to get him to FSU, and then paying off the rest of his FSU contract after he was fired mid season in year two), here is what the donors are hearing from the FSU President:

Yikes, FSU president John Thrasher has urged donors to up their giving to a “one-time 20% increase” to fund the coaching search.

Looks as tho spending big doesn’t always get success, only more requests for more money. Sounds more like an addiction that needs intervention than college athletics.
