NC State will be piecing together the left guard spot with Garrett Bradbury, Tyler Jones and perhaps some Joe Thuney, in light of the injuries to both fifth-year senior left guard Alex Barr and redshirt junior guard Bryce Kennedy. Barr hurt his ankle against Eastern Kentucky and will miss two straight games, and Kennedy got hurt in the second half against Old Dominion.
South Alabama has only two sacks on the season and its defense is porous. Old Dominion did get some pressure on quarterback Jacoby Brissett, and redshirt freshman right tackle Will Richardson got beat twice by speed rushers, and Kennedy was beat on his last play of the game.
