From NC State:

RALEIGH, N.C. – NC State’s McMurray Family Director of Athletics Boo Corrigan has announced that Raleigh native Bo Andrews has been named the Wolfpack’s head men’s golf coach.

“I’m excited to welcome Bo back home to Raleigh as our new men’s golf coach,” said Corrigan. “We sought to hire someone with a proven record of success, that has tremendous leadership qualities and that also has extensive knowledge of our conference and state. Bo checks all of those boxes. He’s a man of high character and I know he’s going to do a great job of bringing a championship culture to our program.”

Andrews, who graduated from the Ravenscroft School in Raleigh, has spent the last seven seasons with the University of Tennessee men’s golf program.

He was promoted to associate head coach ahead of the 2024-25 season after spending his first six years in Knoxville as assistant coach.

“I’m humbled and honored to be named the head men’s golf coach at NC State,” said Andrews. “This university has played such a meaningful role in my life, and it’s a dream come true to return in this capacity. I’m excited to build on the strong tradition of Wolfpack Golf and to lead a group of talented student-athletes with passion, integrity, and a commitment to excellence. I can’t wait to get started and contribute to the future success of NC State Golf.”

In seven seasons at UT, Andrews helped lead the Volunteers to 11 team tournament titles, while also guiding Vol golfers to nine individual tournament titles, 11 All-SEC selections and seven All-America honors.

The 2024-25 season marked the third consecutive year that Andrews was named a finalist for the Jan Strickland Outstanding Assistant Coach Award, which is presented annually to the top assistant coach in college golf.

Tennessee has qualified for the NCAA Regionals in each of Andrews’ seven seasons with the program, as well as advancing to the NCAA Championships three times in the 2021, 2024 and 2025 seasons.

During the 2023-24 season, the Vols captured a program-record-tying three team titles as the Big Orange earned their first ever No. 1 NCAA Regional seed while boasting an overall record of 143-35-1.

The season ended with a No. 7 overall national ranking and the program’s first team top-10 NCAA Championships finish since 1981.

Andrews played collegiately at Georgia Tech and served as a volunteer assistant for the Yellow Jackets from August of 2015 until being hired at Tennessee in the summer of 2018.

Andrews was a 2012 All-ACC performer and a three-time GCAA All-Region selection in college. He was a member of Georgia Tech conference championship teams in 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2014 and posted 11 top-10 finishes during his career, including two top-five efforts and a victory at the 2013 Gary Koch Invitational.

Andrews graduated from Tech with high honors in May of 2014 with a bachelor's degree in business management. He was a five-time selection to the ACC Academic Honor Roll, three-time selection to the ACC All-Academic Team, twice named a GCAA All-America Scholar and recipient of an NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship.

During his time with the Jackets, Andrews’ overall impact as a student-athlete was recognized via his acceptance of the 2014 Homer Rice Total Person Award and the 2012 Bobby Dodd Award.

Andrews lettered for five seasons in golf at Ravenscroft, serving as team captain for two years. He led the Ravens to four state championships (2005, 2007, 2008, 2009) and four conference titles. He earned all-state honors in 2009 and all-conference honors four times, while winning the individual conference title twice (2005, 2008).

Andrews’ father, Andy Andrews, lettered for the men’s tennis program from 1978-1981. He’s the only Wolfpack alum to tab three ITA All-America honors in his career (singles and doubles in 1980, doubles in 1981) and also earned five ACC Individual titles over the course of his career.
