1. NC State has a great recruiting schedule for this season with Notre Dame coming to Carter-Finley Stadium on Saturday, along with other home games with VMI, Louisville, Marshall, Clemson, Miami and North Carolina at the end of the season Nov. 25. Another perk of the UNC home game is that this year it is on a Saturday after Thanksgiving, rather than a Friday, which had NCHSAA playoff games happening.

The visitors for Saturday is impressive, and for some the first time on campus, or first time in a while.

Official visitor:

Some of the unofficial visitors:

Joshua Ofor could be on commit watch and help land that athletic linebacker that NC State has been seeking high and low for the last several months. Ofor had officially visited East Carolina last June, and he attended Alpha Wolf on July 28. He could have some SEC visits on the horizon, but it will be more clear after this weekend.

Quarterbacks Faizon Brandon and Jacob Smith also attended Alpha Wolf. NC State likely won’t take both quarterbacks, but Smith is verbally committed to the Wolfpack baseball program, but if he signs with NCSU football (or any other football program), he’ll count toward a football scholarship. Greensboro Grimsley and Brandon topped Smith and Pfafftown Reagan 41-15 last Friday.

Kendre’ Harrison has been to NC State a few times and is the nephew of former Wolfpack wing C.C. Harrison. Georgia had generated a lot of buzz for the football and basketball standout. However, some think that has faded. North Carolina has done a good job with Harrison, who can play both defensive end and tight end. It’s early, and he has so many options, but he might be currently viewing himself as a tight end, so it would be good for NC State to use the tight end position more often than the UConn win.

I’ll be watching Harrison and Reidsville at Mebane (N.C.) Eastern Alamance tonight, so my second viewing of Harrison in football, and probably have seen in hoops four times.

Center Isaac Sowells of Louisville (Ky.) Male has offers from NC State, Kentucky, Louisville, South Carolina, Wake Forest and West Virginia, among others, and is making his first unofficial visit.

Defensive lineman Isaiah Campbell didn’t play last week for Southern Durham (N.C.) High, and wide receiver Snook Peterkin missed some action for Winston-Salem (N.C.) Mount Tabor, but should be ready to roll tonight. Both are in the Rivals250 and are crucial in-state targets. Notre Dame has also offered Campbell. One smart college will give Peterkin a chance to play football and basketball.

Jordan Young had a quiet game last week, but is also in the Rivals250. He can play multiple spots in the secondary and at wide receiver. He’ll be double dipping Saturday as he also has been offered by Notre Dame and unofficially visited South Bend.

Gabe Daniels of Greater Atlanta Christian in Atlanta, Ga., was offered by NC State on May 17. Other P4 programs have been kicking the door, but haven’t offered yet. He is claiming to run 10.7 seconds in the 100-meter dash and 21.8 in the 200, so that is pure speed at 6-2 and 180 pounds.
