Here is a list of the top 13 prospects on NC State’s recruiting board in order of our opinion of the likelihood that NC State will land the recruit.

It does not reflect the opinion of NC State’s football staff and is for discussion purposes only.

1. Three-star defensive end Alim McNeill, Raleigh (N.C.) Sanderson High
McNeill is going to get to see some of the biggest games in college football this season. He’s already been to Alabama-FSU and Virginia Tech-Clemson. He has set up an official visit to Michigan for when it hosts Ohio State and will also see Virginia Tech. That said, NC State still sits in a good position here.
Last week: 1
Prediction: NC State

2. Three-star offensive tackle Kahric Belle, North Miami Beach (Fla.) High
The silence from the Belle camp has us guessing about what’s going on right now, so all of our information is dated from when he named NC State his clear leader in August.
Last week: 3
Prediction: NC State

3. Four-star defensive tackle Jordan Davis, Charlotte (N.C.) Mallard Creek High

Davis’ refusal to dive into recruiting or discuss his interest in schools at this point leads to total speculation. What we know is Davis went to a NC State game this fall, and as far as we know, that’s the lone NC State game he has attended.
Last week: 4
Prediction: NC State

4. Three-star defensive end Joseph Boletepeli, Raleigh (N.C.) Heritage High
NC State feels good about its chances, UNC apparently feels good about theirs. The reason we might give a slight edge to the Pack? Simply the way the two seasons have played out. Also worth noting that Boletepeli has been to every NC State home game, but that is not the case for UNC now, and it does not appear that he is expected there this weekend either.
Last week: 6
Prediction: North Carolina/NC State

5. Four-star linebacker Eriq Gilyard, Jacksonville (Fla.) Trinity International
Gilyard will announce his decision Oct. 22 and we believe he is officially visiting UCF this weekend. We can say that our sources have indicated NCSU is still deliberating its linebacker board at this point.
Last week: 2
Prediction: NC State/Central Florida

6. Four-star offensive lineman Jovaughn Gwyn, Charlotte (N.C.) Harding High
For someone who at times appeared on the verge of making a verbal commitment on multiple occasions in the summer, the latest word is that Gwyn could push it all the way into the new year before deciding (perhaps signing day?). Still think this is a NC State-South Carolina battle with Duke a wildcard, but word is the Gamecocks are not reserving a spot for him either and could fill up on the offensive line. We recently cut the film from the Mallard Creek-Harding game and will have the report on the site next week. Gwyn was probably the best player in the game.
Last week: 5
Prediction: NC State/South Carolina

7. Three-star defensive end Lancine Turay, Irvington (N.J.) High
NC State receivers coach George McDonald was at Turay and teammate Jasiah Provillon’s game last week, the day after the Pack’s win over Louisville. Otherwise, not much new has come out recently on Turay. We do know spots on the defensive line are shrinking in a hurry.
Last week: 7
Prediction: Rutgers/NC State
