Below is our mock class for next Wednesday. It includes two new names and no subtractions. Not on the list is recent visitor Justin Harrington, a Raleigh native playing at Bakersfield (Calif.) C.C. We continue to believe Harrington will end up at Oklahoma.

Of course there is the potential for a surprise out there (one in particular), but at the moment here’s our mock class.

Four-star offensive lineman R.J. Adams, Woodbridge (Va.) High
• Things seem to be trending nicely for NC State with Adams. He went from Kentucky lean to visiting Raleigh on back-to-back weekends to being perceived as 50-50. Then head coach Dave Doeren had an in-home Wednesday night. Adams is not expected to visit anywhere this week, so the Pack may have gotten an extensive last shot at him. He will announce on Dec. 18.

Three-star linebacker Devon Betty, Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas
• Betty and St. Thomas Aquinas try to cap an undefeated season with a state title game Saturday.

Three-star offensive tackle Austin Blaske, Bloomingdale (Ga.) South Effingham High
• When NC State needed it, Blaske was one of those that has emerged as a vocal leader in the class.

Three-star defensive back Devan Boykin, Greensboro (N.C.) Ragsdale High

• Long-time Pack commit never showed any signs of softening up throughout the process, and like Blaske was among those that stepped up into a leadership role in the fall.

Three-star receiver Jalen Coit, Cheraw (S.C.) High
• Recent commit plans to be enrolling early at NC State.

Three-star receiver Joshua Crabtree, Wake Forest (N.C.) Heritage High
• Fall commit enjoyed a big senior season.

Three-star quarterback Ben Finley, Phoenix (Ariz.) Paradise Valley High
• Despite persistent chatter of would Finley end up with Eli Drinkwirtz, especially now that he has the job at Missouri, the reality is that was more wonderings than actual hard information. Finley is enrolling at NC State in the spring.

Three-star offensive lineman Sean Hill, Brookwood (Ga.) Snellville High
• Hill never showed any signs of wavering throughout the fall.

Three-star offensive lineman Ethan Lane, Lawrenceville (Ga.) Archer High

• See Hill.

Three-star offensive lineman Patrick Matan, Washington (D.C.) Gonzaga Prep

• See Hill and Lane.

Three-star safety/nickel Nehki Meredith, Virginia Beach (Va.) Bishop Sullivan

• Meredith is another who has stepped up his leadership role in the 2020 class this fall along with Boykin.

Three-star linebacker Jayland Parker, Macon (Ga.) Westside High

• Louisville is trying to make a late push, but we’d be surprised if it amounted to anything. Nevertheless we are monitoring.

Two-star defensive lineman Pheldarius Payne, Lackawanna College in Scranton, Pa.

• The one commit worth watching the most as Nebraska is making a late push. There are rumors though that Cornhuskers may want Payne to wait till February, and it’s worth noting that Nebraska may also be on the verge of adding junior college transfer, Durham native and one time UNC defensive lineman Jordon Riley. Payne visiting NC State this weekend is a positive sign as well.

Three-star defensive back Joshua Pierre-Louis, Palm Beach Gardens (Fla.) Benjamin School
The second of our two additions to the current group of Pack commits. If Pierre-Louis signs next Wednesday, it would almost surely be NC State. The only thing about Pierre-Louis is he has led a very quiet recruitment.

Four-star receiver Porter Rooks, Charlotte Myers Park High

• Never wavered and is expected to enroll early (which is why he transferred to Myers Park for his senior season).

Three-star receiver Chris Scott, Dacula (Ga.) High

• NC State’s most recent commit is about to turn his attention to the upcoming track season.

Two-star receiver Anthony Smith, Huntingtown (Md.) High

• See Scott. Smith is officially visiting NC State this weekend.

Two-star tight end Ezemdi Udoh, Fayetteville (N.C.) Terry Sanford High

• Has a chance to go for a third star with a strong performance at the Shrine Bowl next week.

Three-star defensive tackle Davin Vann, Cary (N.C.) High

• Will take an official visit to NC State this weekend and then head off to the Shrine Bowl.

Three-star defensive back Aydan White, Asheville (N.C.) Christ School

• Despite some rumblings earlier in the fall that White was receiving attention from other schools, most notably Notre Dame, nothing seemed to materialize and all signs suggest he is very solid.

Kicker Ian Williams, Matthews (N.C.) Weddington High.

• Recent Pack commit will go for a state title this weekend.
