I understand that her cross country eligibility is used up but she does have both an indoor and an outdoor track season remaining.
It seems Coach Henes is really working hard to improve State's track & fields teams.
I think the new roster rules could help her with track. She won’t be able to stockpile distance talent quite as much, but she can recruit more people in the field events and sprints. If she gets enough 400 girls to have a good 4x400, that will also help the indoor distance medley go faster. State would still be a primary distance event school, but with the extra scholarships branching out into the 800 and long sprints would be a natural progression.
