Eric Bossi of Rivals.com and his team have been putting together several updates on various recruits from coast-to-coach, including NC State senior targets Brian Bowen of Saginaw, Mich., Nicolas Claxton of Greenville, S.C., and Charles O'Bannon Jr. of Las Vegas.
O'Bannon will wait until the spring and many believe it is a NC State vs. USC showdown. Bowen was expected to wait until the spring, but the door has cracked a bit to sign this upcoming week (period is Nov. 9-16). Arizona and Michigan State are out front on Bowen.
It looks like Georgia and Florida State remain NC State's stiffest competition for Claxton. His father George Claxton played for Georgia and his prep teammate from the late 1980s is on the staff at FSU.
Senior five-star guard Collin Sexton of Mableton, Ga., has become a Alabama vs. Kansas battle. He had officially visited NC State. Senior center Ikey Obiagu might wait until the spring, but he's also out of official visits. NC State tried on him.
