Certain members of North Carolina politics think they should be able to force NC State and North Carolina into home-and-home football and men's and women's basketball series with East Carolina, Charlotte and Appalachian State every six years. It would also make sure UNC and NC State play each other if conference re-alignment changes things.
NC State football already does play those teams off and on until 2031. I know some folks who will want nothing to do with playing ECU in hoops at Minges Coliseum.
