Men's Basketball Will Wade's press conference today...

There seems to be a lot of smoke building around this. If he is talking about it openly, he is at least giving his current school perhaps a hint he is looking for a bigger job even if it's not at State.

Being that big of a Clemson football fan may not wear well at State. And just as there is a risk taking a high school player who jumped from school to school and AAU team to AAU team, there might be a similar risk taking a MBB coach who has jumped often and shows really serious interest in his alma mater, to the point on rescheduling his basketball schedule so he can watch Clemson football.

I don't think NC State fans will care about him loving Clemson as long as he wins.

McNeese State already knows. Former NC State assistant coach Heath Schroyer is the athletic director. Just comes down to what other jobs open up before next week and if the money is right.

Wade will have expectations and zero honeymoon period if he gets hired. It's something that is drastically different compared to all other coaching searches due to the financials.

I know we have reason to be pessimistic but he going be our coach on Friday long as Clemson takes care of buisness

Glad Indiana got their guy…

Heck I hope he beats Clemson , that would be further confirmation of his talent.
Lol let’s not get carried away. That little ride Brownell has had is over after this year. 2 straight NCAA appearances, no ACC title appearances. Yawn. Good for him. Back to reality.

I don't think State fans, at least not this one, are going to care one bit that Wade still loves his Tiger football. All I ask is that he's a Wolfpack football guy every game outside of when we play the Tigers and I can't imagine that won't be the case!

It was more than an appearance last year. They made the Elite 8. I wouldn't put it past them to at least make the Sweet 16 again where they would run into Houston which would be a tall task but not impossible. Pretty sure you predicted Clemson to fall off that cliff this year at the end of last year because of them losing PJ and Girard. Dude has had three really good years of play in the ACC.

Back to reality. All those dudes are gone. Solid coach, 4 good years in 15. 1 less final four and ACC championship than a guy we just fired. Wade gonna whoop his ass.

It’s rare that I would pull for Texas in anything unless they are playing the cheats. However I will make this exception. Please win a couple more tournament games.

He had about 6 mil in NIL funds to help him as well.
