Assuming everything goes as it should coming up, it hasn't really been discussed much, but Wade will still have his show cause from the NCAA lasting until I believe June 22, 2025. My understanding is that the NCAA sanctions occurred on June 22, 2023, hence why I picked that date.

What does that mean? If I am wrong, I will be happy to correct this, but that he won't be able to attend prep events in May and in June until June 22. There isn't an evaluation weekend in April. The big evaluation weekend is May 16-18, with Nike, adidas, Puma and Under Armour having events all across the country. NC State will still have coaches on the road, but not Wade.

The other big evaluation event that Wade would miss is the NBPA Camp on June 9-13, which will have 100 top players.

What hasn't been announced is what weekends in June will the high school team events be taking place. In North Carolina, the NCHSAA plays in Bermuda Run, N.C., and the NCISAA takes place at Greensboro (N.C.) Day. I'd like to think the new staff will see 80 percent of my hot boards between NCHSAA and NCISAA team events if they attack it hard. Plus, Georgia and Washington, D.C. have terrific events in June too with their high school teams. So, it will be in NC State's best interests to have those prep team events be held after June 22, and usually that last weekend of June is one of the periods, June 27-29.

The show cause won't affect taking transfers, and to be honest, Synergy has everything basketball-related in the world these days, so he has endless amount of video to watch, whether with shoe-sponsored traveling teams, International prospects, college players or FIBA events for teenagers.
