Boston College junior quarterback Thomas Castellanos has likely ended his time there a few games early. Coach Bill O’Brien turned to former Florida International transfer quarterback Grayson James, who started there in 2022. Castellanos was benched against Syracuse.
Castellanos has gone 99-of-161 passing for 1,366 yards, 18 touchdowns and five interceptions, and has rushed 93 times for 194 yards and one touchdown. He rushed for 1,113 yards and 13 touchdowns last year, so that has radically changed with a new coach.
In the right system, Castellanos will have a good market in the transfer portal, which seems an inevitable move at this point.
