I saw this on and am taking this from the Main Board, but thought everyone here should know as well. For those that don't ever venture over to the main board, you may not have known, Velo was a true patriot and hero and didn't talk about it here because he wanted to just talk about NC State Athletics on this Board. I met him just a few years ago at the College World Series (the COVID year) and he was doing incredibly well then, so this shocked me as he's still been active here even recently.

I received a DM from his daughter today that
@Velo1 died on January 23rd of advanced dementia. He was 77. This information is being posted by me with her permission.
For those that don't know,
@Velo1 was a Special Forces soldier in Vietnam from 1967-1969. His stories and experiences are legendary on tMB. @bamaman1977 will post some of them as well as other reminiscences of our friendship with him.
His daughter Katie will keep the Rivals account until sometime in March and she will monitor as time permits. Feel free to send her a DM or post something in this thread and she will receive it.
